Kushee Ravi has a strong passion for festivals and eagerly anticipates the upcoming celebrations during this time of year. She recalls the grand festivities at her maternal home, where all festivals were joyfully observed. After getting married, the festivities were not as elaborate. However, two years ago, moving into their new home provided the space and opportunity to celebrate with grandeur. The festival season begins with Varamahalakshmi habba, a day Kushee particularly cherishes. Fondly referred to as Dia Kushee, she notes that traditional festivals highlight their culinary skills. Kushee appreciates her mother-in-law and describes the early morning preparations for Varamahalakshmi puja, which involves everyone dressing up nicely. The family gathers for the puja, and Kushee is delighted by the enthusiasm of everyone on this special day. They invite family and friends, especially those unable to host the goddess idol at their own homes. Special dishes like obbattu and sajjige are a staple on their festival menu.
